Guiding Light Mission                                                                       Free Lunch

225 S. Division                                                                                      Chapel and lunch is at 12 noon

Shelter is for men only; if you want a bed you must now be in by 8:20 p.m. No longer late admittance. (Degage passes o.k.) Women may sit in the blue room during the day only. Chapel is at 12 Noon. If you go to chapel you are first in line for lunch; otherwise you must wait outside until chapel is finished around 12:15 or so to be let in for lunch. Those that attend chapel at 6 p.m. are 1st in line for dinner and beds. Dinner starts around 6:30p.m. after chapel finishes. Wake up time is 6 a.m. weekdays and 6:30a.m. on weekends. Must stay overnight for breakfast except on Sundays.

Note: Guiding Light Patrons now are able to sign up for a bed and go to Celebrate Recovery at Friday night and still get their bed when they come back on the bus.

 

Mel Trotter's Men's Shelter                                            Free Dinner at 5:15 p.m. everyday

Men must be in by 7 p.m. & go to chapel from 7 p.m. To 8 p.m. Beds are at 8 p.m.

Wake up time is at 5:45 a.m. Breakfast is at 6:15 a.m. Must leave by 6:30 a.m.

Must stay overnight for breakfast. Mel Trotters does not take late passes.

Note: Mel Trotter’s will also let men take the bus to Celebrate Recovery if interested, must check with staff on the men’s side ahead of time, to guarantee ride, and bed.

Otherwise will have to try to get bed and ride by signing up at Guiding Light mission.

 

Mel Trotter's Women's Shelter                                      (May stay for up to 60 days)

Women have to be in by 7 p.m. and stay the night. Must be in by 5 p.m. if you want dinner at 5:15 p.m. Wake up time is 6 a.m. Breakfast is at 7 a.m. Must leave by 8:00 a.m. And be back by 7 p.m. Also must be looking and attempting to find a job and an apt. or other housing.  Weekly reports are required.

 

Degage Ministry’s Open Door (Drop in Center for Women) Drop-in Center is for Women only.

Located at Degage (Black doors on side)                        Open 7 p.m. To 8 a.m.

New Open Door Rules: Only 1 bag allowed & must agree to take shower. May come in anytime during hours, but once you leave may not come back in. Seven nights a week from 7:00 pm-8:00 am, the Open Door is a safe haven for women in crisis. Staff is available for counseling and referrals can be made for those seeking further support.
